The PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam covers six competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an artificial intelligence management system
Domain 2: Artificial intelligence management system requirements
Domain 3: Planning of an AIMS implementation based on ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 4: Implementation of an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 6: Continual improvement and preparation for an AIMS certification audit
Certification Path
Four credential levels are available:
PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Provisional Implementer
- Pass the exam
- No professional experience required
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Two years professional experience (one year in AI)
- Complete 200 hours of AI project activities
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Five years professional experience (two years in AI)
- Complete 300 hours of AI project activities
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Senior Lead Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Ten years professional experience (seven years in AI)
- Complete 1,000 hours of AI project activities
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
Note: PECB certified individuals who possess Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials qualify for the respective PECB Master credential, given that they have taken four additional Foundation exams related to this scheme.
