Certification Path

Four credential levels are available:

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Provisional Auditor

• Pass the exam
• No professional experience required
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Two years professional experience (one year in AI)
• Complete 200 hours of AI project activities
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Five years professional experience (two years in AI)
• Complete 300 hours of AI project activities
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Senior Lead Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Ten years professional experience (seven years in AI)
• Complete 1,000 hours of AI project activities
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

Note: PECB certified individuals who possess Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials qualify for the respective PECB Master credential, given that they have taken four additional Foundation exams related to this scheme.
