The PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer exam covers seven competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a quality management system
Domain 2: Initiation of a QMS implementation
Domain 3: Planning of a QMS implementation based on ISO 9001
Domain 4: Implementing a QMS based on ISO 9001
Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of a QMS based on ISO 9001
Domain 6: Continual improvement of a QMS based on ISO 9001
Domain 7: Preparation for a QMS certification audit
Certification Path
Four credential levels are available:
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Provisional Implementer
- Pass the exam
- No professional experience required
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Two years professional experience (one year in quality management)
- Complete 200 hours of QMS project experience
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Five years professional experience (two years in quality management)
- Complete 300 hours of QMS project experience
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Senior Lead Implementer
- Pass the exam
- Ten years professional experience (seven years in quality management)
- Complete 1,000 hours of QMS project experience
- Sign the PECB Code of Ethics
Note: PECB certified individuals who possess Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials qualify for the respective PECB Master credential, given that they have taken four additional Foundation exams related to this scheme.
