The PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor exam covers seven competency domains:

Certification Path

Four credential levels are available:

PECB Certified ISO 9001 Provisional Auditor

• Pass the exam
• No professional experience required
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO 9001 Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Two years professional experience (one year in quality management)
• Complete 200 hours of MS audit/assessment experience
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Five years professional experience (two years in quality management)
• Complete 300 hours of MS audit/assessment experience
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

PECB Certified ISO 9001 Senior Lead Auditor

• Pass the exam
• Ten years professional experience (seven years in quality management)
• Complete 1,000 hours of MS audit/assessment experience
• Sign the PECB Code of Ethics

Note: PECB certified individuals who possess Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials qualify for the respective PECB Master credential, given that they have taken four additional Foundation exams related to this scheme.
